Jay grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, and attended Hampden-Sydney College, graduating in 1991 with a B.A. in political science. After college, Jay moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and started his career with Empire as a Sales Representative in 1994. Jay was promoted to Sales Manager and Area Manager positions. In 2003, Jay moved to Wilmington, NC, to serve as this location’s first On-Premise Sales Manager. Jay was subsequently promoted to General Manager of this facility. Jay and his wife have two sons. He enjoys watching his sons play lacrosse, spending time on the water both paddle and board surfing, as well as playing golf.
